Well the fdic owns my 2nd now(discharged non reaffirmed),amtrust bank no longer exists.I have made offers to settle for 10%,for a year now,finally they have agreed to settle f0r 10%.This makes me really happy.Anybody trying to settle ther loans dont give up..

How many letters did you have to write? Can you please share your story? I'm trying to do the same with Digital Federal Credit Union. I emailed a letter on Tuesday and was kind of wondering when I should contact them again. -
I stopped making payments,then a year later the bank went under,I have had to deal with the fdic,no hardship letters or money info needed,Comment
