Since my mortgage lenders have closed access to my acounts via web, I am calling them about 5 days after I mail payments to see if the payments were posted. My primary mortgage company, 10 days after I mailed it were still claiming they had not received it. I wrote a letter to customer service (e-mail) and told them if it wasn't posted to my account by this Monday, I would simply stop payment on the check and mail them another one. They called me back within 10 minutes of sending that letter saying, yes, they got the check 3 days ago, they are posting it to my account today. Late fees start after the 5th...wonder if they were going after some of them or something?
I don't know if since this was the first payment I sent since filing if they had some type of procedure they had to go through?
I also wrote them a $hit note about reporting my account as derogatory on the credit report. I have never been late with my payments to them. So far, they still have not corrected it.
