How much debt did your bankruptcy wipe out?

How much debt did your bankruptcy wipe out? That's the question here folks. At least for those who have actually filed anyway.

My total debt was over $138,000 consisting of credit cards, back taxes, and 2 vehicles.

When it all boils down to it, its just numbers! Your credit score, your interest rate, your bank account, and your net worth if you're fortunate enough to have one......is your happiness really defined by numbers?

Hey, I'm just glad you made it through with those numbers. That was part of the "Wow" too.

About 20k in original claims. By the time accounts bounced all over the place to duplicate collections over the years, 40k was the final total amount.

Mine was about 25-26k, but a couple creditors were about to sue and the deadline was coming up.

My C13 plan hasn't been approved yet (my 341 isn't for another 3 weeks), but a quick calculation (assuming everything goes as planned) shows about 60% repayment over a 5 year plan at $400 per month. That's acceptable to me, since an EASY 35% of the two problem debts are interest and fees, and NOT principal (don't get me started! *grrrr*
