Student loan refund

Long long long story short I had a chapter 7 asset case that was discharged and then two years later when I went to sell the house it was caught that it was never abandoned. Part of the proceeds of the house were then kept by the estate and because the department of Ed was listed as a debt by my lawyer they ended up paying off almost 20k in my student loans. Now because of Covid they are issuing refunds for payments made during Covid and as of right now they have processed the refund but I still can't see if the payment will come to me in a check or back to the estate in ACH form. Either way it should be mine right
