when will they take my truck?

I hope this is the right place to post this....

I stopped paying my truck payment in July. Filed in August. Did not reafirm. Discharged and closed in November. They have not come to take my truck yet. I'm not calling them to refresh their minds to do so but believe me, it's not a truck they are just going to abandon. Just wondering if anyone knows the normal timeline for repo's.

not trying to be too funny, but it's usually in the middle of the night. Do not keep anything in the truck that you need as they will make you pay to get your items back.

Can they (legally) open a gated privacy fence to get the vehicle if it's parked in the back yard vs front driveway?

If it's where they can get to it, they will. If the gate's locked - that may be protected, but be prepared for it to vanish in the night. Those sukkers can be SO quiet out there. They can even move one car out of the way to get to a repo, then put it right back where it sat, so called 'blocking' the prize. You're dealing with ugly guys who go out and yank 5-6 a nite at $200-$300 a pop, so paying a snitch $40-50 to let them know when it's home is no problem. You might want to check your state laws on what they're allowed to do - in a lot of cases they can legally get a key cut for it and simply drive it away, no snatch involved.

LOL. I actually want them to come and get it. We've called them and the company just says that it's set up to be repo'd but that they didn't know "when". I even went so far as to ask if I could drive it there for them just so they wouldn't come in the middle of the night with a loud sounding tow truck and they said NO but that usually they give a courtesy call before they are coming. Hopefully they do because I don't want my neighbors knowing!
