do i need to recover every bank & cc statement i have since i started a bank account and my first credit card? or is there a time frame i should start retreiving?

Statements and check stubs from the six months before filing should be fine.

Edited to add: This may vary by location, but I didn't even need six months of CC statements. I just needed one of each so the paralegal could get the addresses off them.

The trustee will generally only ask for your last two bank statements, but it all depends on the case. If you have alot of questionable unsecured debt, they may ask for more.

thanks everyone! i feel better already, it would been a huge hassle retreiving 4-5 years of monthly bank/cc statements!
