    Surprise . .

    Newbie Here...

I had an initial consultation with an attorney with re: to BK. He made it sound so "no strings attached"....

After reading the posts here, it's not that smooth... with being contacted so much time after filing.

I guess they just want the business... seems misleading.

I think that what you see here is the exception, not the rule.

The people who come here are the ones who are having a problem and need help. In most cases though, it probably is "no strings attached".

I have had the same thoughts leelee but after thinking about it I think I tend to agree with rover. After reading these posts and all of the problems I was about to forget about the whole thing (filing). But after talking with the lawyer it really eased my mind also and she made it all seem very simple and easy. I am hoping she is right!
Hopefully we should be filing within the next 2 weeks.

People with financial problems get on the Net to research their options. They find this Forum because BK is an option to solve their financial problems.

Many Ch 7 filers who post here have their BK's go "text book perfect" start to finish. They're done with BK, they move on with their lives, and quit posting at the Forum. Some become regulars and do stay on after their BK is done.

Other people posting here are Ch 13 filers. Their BK's started a year or so ago and many are in 5 year plans.

People posting here isn't about whether they have problems with their BK's or not. It's about sharing with others going thru the same experiences.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
