You may be upside down on the car-

but I'd keep a zero percent that is upside down, before I'd give it up and then have to start paying interest on the replacement car.

It really depends on how you are paid.

The Court does take that into consideration as well. Otherwise, it could wind up looking like you gross way more/less than you actually do.

If you're paid weekly, you'd multiply your weekly gross pay by 52.

If you're paid every other week, you multiply your gross by 26.

If you get paid 2x each month, you multiply your gross by 24.

And, if you're paid 1x each month, you'd multiply your gross by 12.

Either way you go, from what you've said, you're under the Median for California. 1 person is allowed an income of $44,499/year in CA.

Samantha does make a strong point for your 0% loan with Ford. Every month you're amortizing 100% of your payment on the principal. And $360/mo is not a huge car payment. Not these days anyway.

I just checked my FICO score on my WaMu credit card site and per TransUnion it's 705. That's a pretty good score, how much is it going to drop after a chapter 7?

Thing I we are living with my 73 year old mother and when that phone starts she will be getting VERY annoyed and upset. She isnt well to begin with. This is already getting to her terribly. Thinking of writing me out of her will so the gov doesnt tak e her assets now...

I think you should consult an attorney right away. Im going to very soon. As soon as time allows. We cant keep beating ourselves up right?

$25,000 is alot of money to some people. I'm going in for $32,000 credit and $8,000 car, $1,200 medical..reaffirming the car. To me that's huge. So many people aks why I would go belly up for so little. I have two kids though, I need to....We need to eat the main reason!

I set up two appointments so far. I'm surprised at how hard it is to get an appointment. I have one appointment for 12:00 tommorrow, if I didn't take that I wouldn't have another chance until Thursday. The other appointment I set is for Thursday, that was the soonest they could see me. Both are BK specialists. If they don't work out I'll start visiting the legal mills, there are a lot of them in the phone book.

Check out the list of private trustees in your area too. The majority of them also represent bk filers too. Becareful not to consult to too many of them, otherwise you will run out of trustees that can work on your case later.

When I filed, I used a private trustee. As luck would have it, the court assigned her as the trustee of my case too. blah.. She has to decline that assignment.
