    Who has delt with BOA...

My total debt with them between 3 cards is around $27,000. Wondering whats the chances they will object. Two cards havent been used in a year or more, one was used for groceries, clothes, and a camcorder last October. I just have a bad feeling they are going to try to stick it to me. So far Chase and Discover have not been mean even with lates with BOA they didnt up my interest. One late and BOA took me up to 32%. On all cards, even if I was only late on one. Once.
Just wondering what everyones experience with them has been. Its seems they are the hardest to deal with maybe?

Knock on wood, but of all my creditors, B of A has been the easiest.

The odds of any creditor objecting are a hit or miss thing, usually in a no-asset ch7 case it is rather slim but does happen. Not sure which you are planning to file but that is something to consider. I know that the longer it's been since any avtivity on the card at that amount of debt the better it will be for you. As far as BofA...my account was charged off prior to filing so I am not sure if they would in fact cause problems with your bk or not, but they sure slammed me with a lawsuit not longer after non-payment on just $4000 of debt. I don't mean they threatened to sue...they did sue. Really, in all honesty when it comes to who they mess with, who they will sue, or what...I think it comes down to the mood of the person that day and which name is on the list next. I have a close friend that walked away from them owing over 9 grand, same financial situation as me, owned a better house, and they didn't sue them. So it's anyone's guess really.

I can't help you (yet) with what BOA will do in a bankruptcy, but I owe them (BOA/MBNA) about $9k and am attempting to work out a 5-year payback. So far, they have been listening. Now, if the majority of creditors can't help me out and I wind up in a BK, I will atleaast be able to tell the trustee if it comes up that I tried. I think BKTanog is correct in stating that there is really no way to tell what will happen. I'm sure that in the next several months, I'll have the answer in my case LOL.

It would be a chapter 7 no asset case for sure. We had a ton of debt and took out a MBNA consolidation loan years ago. BofA bought it as we know..jacked up interest and my balance is nearly the same it was when I took out the loan. I think this is what they will object to, but we have no assets nor cash on hand. We do not own a house and own one car....no furs, jewels, run of the mill poor house...
Im worried they will just give me a hard time and harrass me, maybe try a long term payback? Who knows. Ive heard of others with nothing getting beat up my BOA, Chase and Citi...So glad I paid off Citi!

No problem with B of A after filing. Before filing they called everyday. Even called my relatives. Called my cellphone. You name it. After filing they went away. I am post BK so now getting credit offers in the mail though none from B of A. Don't want much credit anyway anymore. America is a mess because of our addiction to credit.

We had multiple BoA accts. Started out with 1 and then BoA bought others. Providian. MBNA. So I think we filed on 3 different accts with them.

For us, nearly a year from the last CC use passed before we filed. Like with DIB,........ BoA was the worst about calling pre-filing. Post filing, we've had no problems with them so far.
