What appears as the total for your BK

I have a question, sorry if this has been asked before I cannot find the answer. What appears as your total dollar amount for your BK? On the credit reports does the dollar amount show the total or should it show 0 Balance?

If the dollar amount does appear when does it change to 0 dollar amount?

I have a BK that is nearing 10 years and will roll off in two months. The dollar amount is being reported for one bureau and the other two are showing 0 balance.

    Thank you

Many of ours went to Zero balance between our 341 and our Discharge. The rest went to Zero after Discharge.

One Credit Reporting Agency,............. Equifax, is still showing 1 acct with a balance. Everything else with all 3 CRA's shows a Zero balance.

You might want to sign up with a Credit Monitoring Service or a Law firm like Lexington Law that specializes in Credit Disputes and start working on cleaning up your Credit Reports.

Honestly,............ This is something that should have been taken care of long ago. It's untelling how much money your inaccurate Credit Reports has cost you. You may have been paying higher interest rates on loans, higher insurance rates, and such, due to the inaccuracies existing in your Credit Reports.

Well I am actually with a law firm now, and I am sure that they cost me a lot. I never knew that they should not show a balance of your total debt. I was blind, but it will all wash out in the end. I am hoping, She has never said to me that the amount should be 0, so I am going to raise some attention on this one. Thank you much

I have to correct this, I am sorry if I didn't ask the question correctly. Its not the individual debt that has the balance. It's the total BK trade line in public records that is showing the total debt amount that I filed. That is not a 0 amount.

Our Liability and Asset amounts both read Zero dollars.

How that shows may depend on the Clerk of the Court that entered your info at the time you filed. Honestly, tho, I don't really know.
