I see Bank of America has joined forces with American Express- offering the Bank of America American Express card. In a year or so B of A will own every card in the world. I suppose if any of you are in default with any of the above you can expect all of your other cards to be cancelled, and to have a hard row to hoe attemtping to gain new credit after filing BK?

There are other Lenders out there. BK Friendly lenders.
Ford.
And the more time that passes after your BK, the more and more offers you'll get.
When the BK drops off as a public record, in many cases, it's like it never even happened.

The banking industry will consolidate as any major industry does. Tends to be cyclical, and after all, since the Federal Reserve was shoved down the collective throat of America our monetary system has been in private hands. Wholly unconstitutional, completely corrupt.Originally posted by SamanthaJones View PostI see Bank of America has joined forces with American Express- offering the Bank of America American Express card. Nothing will change unless America awakens. But, since these things are never spoken of in school these days, much less a reasonably correct version of history merely alluded too, then I hold no hope.
Maybe you don't want to be beholden to the Bankers of worthless paper any more. Maybe that plastic is just not the way to go. Seems to me that if your on this site, with deep financial problems like me, then just buying back into a system that got you here in the first place is a sure sign of insanity....
I'm a capitalist pig alright, but I don't like the terms of the game so I'm not buying the goods. If enough people like me stop buying, the terms will change. I believe in the market. I don't need credit, and most people don't either. Only that stupid television tells them different. So, they buy into it again.....
How does it go? If you do the same thing over and over again and expect different results, your nuts!

The largest credit card lending banks in america, in order:
Citigroup
Bank of America
HSBC
JP Morgan/Chase
Wells Fargo
Wachovia
Barclays (Juniper)
American Express
Washington Mutual
Any of the top 4 or 5 would not be able to merge or acquire each other due to antitrust laws. So there isn't much worry that citi or boa can get much bigger than they already are.

I agree with you 100%. If enough people stop, then changes will have to be made, same goes with new car prices AND home prices...if enough people stop and think and refuse to pay that kind of money for a vehicle that you are lucky if it last 5 years now... then changes will have to be made. Now that I see the big picture, I refuse to exist in life being a slave to debt just because that's what seems normal now, I would rather stay well within my means and actually live life."Try to save money. Someday it may be valuable again." - Anonymous
