    Vacation?

My dad is wanting my husband and I to go on vacation with him this June.
We aren't planning on filing BK until Sept-Oct this year. My dad knows we cannot afford to go. He wants to pay for the whole vacation for us. He is elderly and a widower and cannot go on this vacation without us. I am not talking about him giving us money. He will be paying for the cabin, boat, groceries... stuff like that.

How would this look to the trustee?

Would this be a bad thing to do?

Maybe I am missing something here but I am not sure how the trustee would find out about this or why he/she would even care?

If we are talking about a short (1 week) vacation, 4 months before you file, that someone else is paying for and nothing would be going thru your bank accounts or on your cc I am not sure why this would even come up.

I have no knowledge of anything BK. My husband said the same as you, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

      Thanks!

If Dad gave you money and you paid for everything, you might have to explain that. The money flowing into and out of your bank acct would show. But with Dad paying for everything, you'll be fine.

Go!! Have fun and enjoy yourselves!!

It's great of you to help Dad go some place he wouldn't otherwise be able to visit alone!!
