Prior to new bk laws, can you file bk as much as possible?

i heard the new laws only allow you to file every 7 years; before the new bk laws, was there a time frame before you can file bk again?

Actually, you can file a Chapter 7 every 8 years per bk reform. Under the old laws it was every 6 years.
