Now the two girls in the clerks office have been fantastic mind you. Helping where they are allowed, suggesting and reassuring in other areas. They said that the trustees here were usually nice and helpful to pro se filers an move them through the system asap.
SO my 341 was today. I knew I wasn't in fact going to like the guy when I heard him ask another filer about the status of their 2002 HA-YUN-DIE (yes he meant hyundai). So I get called and the first thing he asks is if I actually submitted any of my schedules to the court.
UM. Yeah...
He says he never received them and asks for my copies which thankfully I have on me, though they are marked up. He goes through asks some basics and about some things I knew would seem fishy because of timing. And he (also during other cases) keeps asking me to speak up even though I have worked in radio and have a booming voice when I use it. After he says "he is done with me" and I go to get my papers back I tell him I am not sure who I was supposed to give my pre discharge counseling certificate to. Now he could have said the clerks can help you with procedural questions, instead I get the "I can't answer questions, I'm your trustee not your attorney!".
So I leave feeling flustered and walk next door to the clerk office and bang my head down on the counter at their window. They remember me because they said they have never seen a pro se filing as complete and tidy as mine (OCD to the rescue) I tell them what happened and they immediately started trying to help. They printed out a copy of the email sent to him, PROVING he was notified of my papers being filed, and even print out everything in my case file to take back to him. Yes, print out everything, as in everything was right there in the electronic document system for him already.
So now I am feeling insulted that HE of all people didn't take time to prepare for my case. Didn't ask for things like my tax filings, making me worry that he is going to want me to come in and go over everything with a fine tooth comb. And generally feeling like this guy is an insult to the legal system that I am having to rely on.
Anyone top that?
