Chapter 7 Income Tax implications?

Hi,
I'm a newbie here.

Does anyone have any idea whether or not Federal or State (NJ) Income Tax is owed on the Discharged amount of a Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy?

I've read in other places/times that it is, searched (slightly) the forums here, found nothing, and just want to be sure of the facts.

You do not pay any income tax on debts that are discharged in BK.
