Divorce and BK

My X has pretty much dropped off the face of the earth. I have to come up with another 2500 to pay the attorney to set a hearing to finalise our divorce. I plan on filing BK in Jan.

Is it going to create an issue if I put the 2500 on my WAMU card so I can get my divorce finished ? Im planning on filing Ch 7

I did the same thing. I paid my atty her last payment in March and my divorce was done. To me, paying my divorce atty was a necessary living expense that was justified. I am not filing till October so hopefully it won't be an issue as it's past the 90 days. You will be past 90 days in January too. Hopefully someone else will chime in here too.

11/14/07 -filed C7 12/04/07 -case pulled for random audit.12/18/07 -341 held: Asset case due to engagement ring & tax return.02/19/08 - US trustee files motion to extend. 04/02/08- changed back to NO ASSET! I get my ring back and get to keep my tax return! :clapping: 04/28/08 -DISCHARGED!!! :yahoo::yahoo: 05/07/08 - CLOSED!!!
