    I would think that going into any kind of legal contract, (like a mortgage or loan) with the intent to commit fraud, by signing an agreement to repay with no intention of doing so would be a criminal act?!

    As far as owing the IRS, if you, as you say, have proof that the $$ was not income as you state, you should be looking for a tax attorney to appeal the IRS decision, not a way to flee the country and hope for the best.
