Debt Reduction Plans??

I got a quote from a debt reduction company and a contract and just wondering if anyone tried that before the filed Bankruptcy?
The neg. a new payoff with the debt and I make a payment to them and they payoff the bills?? I just don't want to get scammed

Don't do it. Most people who try those companies out eventually file bankruptcy. There's another thread going on here:

Yes, anything they can do, you can probably negotiate with the creditor. Which is to say, not much. Don't bother.
