    80k on cc need advice

I was making about 50k a year(2001) till the biz i was in went down the tubes, made about 25k(2002)the following year and was using cc for living expences,in 2003 i took a job with a freind who was paying me cash and i worked a couple of part time jobs still stuggled and was still using those cc checks to pay bills, i took in a couple of roomates and have stopped using my cards,i have never made a late payment on my morgage ,cc,or childsupport, but Chase just raised my rate fromm 13.99 to 28.99 but it was only for 3k so i just pay it ,Sears just sent a letter but will allow me to opt out and keep old rate, now household bank sent me letter and is going to charge me 25.99 with no opt out i owe them 6k but will never be able to pay at that rate so my question is if i file bk will the trustee want to know where the cash ive been paying with is coming from i have only made about 14k on my taxs for last two years and will they look at the fact i was paying until the cc rates went crazy,i dont give a crap about my credit rating as long as they cant get my condo and anyway i need to get a job with health insurance (im 48)so bk seems like a good option

I was in a similar situation, my advise is to have a free consult with a BK attorney in your area they will be able to give you all of your options and what your states exemptions are. I was really relieved after talking to an attorney it will put your mind at ease and you will be able to start making plans for your future, I was able to keep everything I wanted and discharge all of my debt, good luck and make that first step you will feel alot better knowing all of your options rather then speculating whats going to happen.
