    Need some answers

We are 40,000 plus in cc debt, all the home/car loans are under my husbands name so I will be filling by myself so we can keep the house. (if I file)
So we are unable to pay our bills so something needs to be done. I am thinking of filling chapter7. Any advice?
I am about 1 month bhind on 90% of my cc. I used the last one about 1.5 months ago to buy a new computer (dell credit card) it was about $800.00. Any suggestions on how to handle that?
Also what will happen will the unpaide cc between now and when/if I file.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

We need a few more facts. What state are you in and, is the cc debt all {or mostly} in your name?ANy of it joint?
Don't sweat Dell. They'll just abandon the property. A cheap used computer is not worth anyones time.

I live in PA. Most of the cc is in my name. There may be one or two that are in both our names, with a total of $500.00 on the joint ones. I guess I should close all the joint ones without balances prior to filing?
I have used some of the other recently but mostly for gas or groceries. The biggest purchase was the computer I already stated above.
Thanks for your help. I have a feeling I may be here alot in the near future.

Whats your income? Pa median is around 41k. If you are over wouldnt be able to 7 without means test.

It looks like the median income for PA for faimly of five is about $80k. You should be able to file a Chapter 7.

I'm kind of in the same boat because all our credit card debt is in my name so I filed and my husband did not.

              Thank you so much!
The start of this whole process is so stressful for us. I think once we decide what to do for sure it will get better...atleast I hope.
              Thanks again.
