I think after 6 months is said and done we will be over the income median for NC by maybe $3 to $4,000 (lower last 6 months of income will be around maybe end of Feb. or middle of March).
Unless collecting weekly unemployment benefits does not count as income but I assume it does as far as the median calculation is concerned.
But when you take what we bring in minus everything we pay out (1st and 2nd mortgages, car payments, rv payment, unsecured credit card and loan payments and utilities such as electric, garbage/sewer/water, telephone) we are about negative $100 ( and this is before gas for cars, food, and any other monthly living expenses such as adhd medication for son, any kind of clothing allowance, etc.). I don't see how we wouldn't qualify for Chapter 7 but maybe I'm missing something?
By the way, I've convinced my husband we can move and go rent somewhere to get away from the 2nd mortgage and negative equity it is causing with our house. We also would be giving up both cars because we're getting a free car (although older) from my parents and husband drives a van through his work. Will the aforementioned work against us?
Thanks again for your time!
