Sallie Mae signature loan that is career training/continuing education dischargeable?

"The Sallie Mae loan is a signature loan based on credit history. Our continuing education programs here at the University with fees over $5oo are eligible for Sallie Mae loans, and they are for the most part cosidered career training loans. I am not aware of TERI or other nonprofit funding throught this program. "

Hi everyone. Due to the mistakes some attorneys have made, I am working on my list of questions that way I can have an idea when I go for the free attorney consults. Also, since we are a no-asset case, I still keep wondering if we will try pro-se. (It does call to me-lol).

My question for now is, I've been searching the forums and it's a bit confusing about these student loans, so, is a sallie mae signature loan for continuing education (an online certificate) or career training dischargeable? There is no co-signer.

Thanks everyone for putting up with me.

They were not dischargeable under the old law.
