Turn in cars before filing??

My attorney wants us to turn in our cars before filing. We have one car leased and one financed. We have a third car that is financed we are keeping.

The attorney says it will make things less complicated if we take them back before filing. Do you think this is true and could it cause problems? I always thought this was not done till after filing.

I don't think it really matters in the grand scheme of things. You'e surrendering them eventually. Personally, I'd just get it over with. Contact the lender and make arrangements for them to either repo 'em or, you take them in.
