You still probably do. Have you vetted any lawyers yet. Some will take a retaining fee that is much lower and let you make payments over time. They can't file til they are fully paid, but having the lawyer on retainer could make most problems go away.

Thanks, I am hoping that is all that it is as well. We just stopped paying the cards in May jeez! LOL. Thanks for the good wishes for my dog, I have a feeling the end will be soon. She is 16.

Sorry about your dog...I know your pain.

With regards to the certified letter, it is way too soon for anyone to sue you, that's your paranoia at work...I understand it but please try not to feed it.

I had a similar situation a few months ago when I had a certified letter notice in my box. I was sure I was being sued, but I had not been paying for much longer than you....turned out to be something else.

And, at the time HHM pointed out to me that it is very abnormal to get sued by certified mail, unless it is small claims court..which they usually don't do.


Open your mail when you get it and let us know what happens okay? We're all rooting for you.

Hi My dog as I said before is 16 years old, health is failing she sleeps most of the day and is up all night. Well last night was no exception. I was sound asleep this afternoon when the mailman came, I did not hear him ring the doorbell. Anyways I just went to the mailbox and I have a receipt to pick up a certified letter. Could I be getting sued already cards are not even 2 months late yet.... UGH! WE were hoping to wait till December to file....

I need a nap!

I had to recently have one of my dogs put to sleep and it was so freakin hard. I always said that I would never be able to do something like that to a member of my family but he was in so much pain and his quality of life was terrible. Have you ever thought of having your fuzzy bundle of love put down? I know it seems mean, but I stayed by my boy's side until he was gone. It was very quick and peaceful. I could not have been more relieved afterwards. I miss my knuckle head but I am so glad he is not hurting any more. I brought him home and I laid his body to rest in my back yard. Keep in mind that your dog can't tell you they are hurting. But they feel aging pains just like we do. I feel for your situation though. Good luck with everything!

Won't know until tomorrow. Was up with my son all night, have not slept yet. Hubby is picking it up from the post office tomorrow.
