UPDATE certified letter

Hi Picked up the letter from the post office this AM. It was from Old Navy Visa, telling us we owe them money. It said what better way to use your upcoming stimulus check than to pay your bill. Said that it has payment plans they could offer me.

We see the new attorney on Monday. Hoping he is better than the 1st one. Hoping he will let us wait until December to file. We are 5 K over the median with all the past overtime. But if all the checks reflected the cut overtime we are only $750.00 over. Oh well.

Preparing for the worst , hoping for the best.

Thanks It was actually a very nice letter. Saying that they know times are hard etc. but I',m only 2 months late. I can imagine what the letters will say later on LOL....

Mom2one - Glad to hear it was just someone wanting money (the story of our lives right now). We stopped paying our cc's in July 07 and filed May 08. We retained our attorney in Feb. 08 and paid her in full. She said she didn't care when we filed as long as it was by August. We didn't have any worries about being over median though. We too got the same certified letter yesterday from Old Navy (i.e. GE Money)

So far they are the worst! We go to see a new attorney tomorrow. Was up all last night, redoing my expenses, getting all my paystubs. I am a nervous wreck. Going to sit out in my backyard for a bit and try to relax. I am hoping this guy is a bit well nicer.. I know alot more than I did when I saw the 1st attorney. Just wish my stomach would relax!!!

Yah, we have both Old Navy and Gap (both GE Money) and they call repeatedly during the day, and often within minutes of each other.

We started shutting off the phone 2 weeks ago, ringer is off and the machine picks it up. I told my Mom to call me on my cell. It sucks!
