    Insurance claim while in BK7

Wow, what a night/morning. It stormed like crazy all night long. This morning 1/2 my driveway is washed out, my basement has 3-4" of water on the laundry room side. I hope my washer and drying are OK. On the family room side, the carpet is drenched, probably about 2" of standing water. It looks like our furnace is safe. Lots of other stuff in the basement is lost. So we're definately going to have to file an insurance claim.
Anyone go through anything like this while filing BK? We've had our 341 on May 13. We've already been been declare no asset case according to pacer.
    Thanks!

We filed a huge claim this past winter due to a frozen water pipe that burst and did about $25K of damage. We had no issues at all, the insurance company didn't even know we were in BK (I don't think). We're in Chp 13 too, and we didn't have any problems at all. They paid us an initial amount (about $3K) which we cashed and then wrote a check for the exact amount to the contractor that did the work, and then the contractors directly billed the insurance company for the rest, so there wasn't much money that changed hands.

      Good luck!

I was assuming all would be fine...it's not like any money would be "ours".
        I appreciate the info.!
