    Moving to a new home?

Does it matter if dh and I move to a different house before the bk is over? I am talking the same or near the same rent.
We live in town now, I hate it, and would love a little place in the country. We would like to buy a small house when this is over, but for now, if we found a place this month and moved Aug. 1, or Sept. 1, would that matter?
    Thanks!

Keep in mind if you move any extra expenses such as extra gas to work and wear and tear on the car.

Many folks move during the process though so that is not unusual. Generally it is best to move to a lower cost home. It is something you should mention to your lawyer and help him figure out if its better to wait or to do it now.

As for buying a loan it'll take 2 years before you qualify for the FHA loans I think.

      Thanks for answering my question!
We're actually thinking about renting 1/2 house of which one of our daughters and her family would be in the other half. A friend of ours owns the house, and we would be able to pay less rent than we are now.
I guess I was wondering if the trustee would look at that as extra money, even though it would only be temporary for us?

I am also in this situation. We moved after our 341 and so far everything has been fine. Our lawyer stated no problem.

I was wondering.....I thought it was only 1 year for a FHA loan and 2 years if you wanted to get a VA loan to buy a house. I really want to buy a house also.

Has anyone heard of Wells Fargo bank offering a program for people going through bankruptcy and wanting to buy a house? I had heard something about this. It's not something we would do right now, but just wondered if anyone else had heard of this.

Be very careful and read everything...twice! IF you BK'd them (keep in mind sometimes gas and store cards use WF as their bank) then you could find yourself in a predicament where they require you to pay your discharged balance to get a loan or tack it onto your loan. The program may be genuine but I trust no one with my money or credit anymore.
