    Update on our situation...

Some of you were so kind to pray/offer kind thoughts for our family so I wanted to provide an update...

My dh is finally back to work. His leg is healing well enough that they let him go back to work. He was off for 7 weeks (started with being hospitalized 4 days after we filed CH7 on May 1st). He is still going to MD appts on his days off, but he no longer is having therapy. It has been pretty hard on him as he does a fairly physical job and those weeks of bedrest and the extent of his illness really took a toll on his strength.

We were scheduled for our 341 at the end of June, but our attorney rescheduled us due to him having a vacation planned during that timeframe. So now our 341 is 7/25. Dh's work told him he couldn't be off and we thought we would have to tell them why he needed off, but thankfully they now have it worked out so he can be off. It has been a long wait and we will be glad to get that step taken care of.

Our second mortgage company asked us to sign a reaffirmation, but our attorney advised against it, so we didn't sign. I hope that will all work out okay. It worries me, but after the terrible scare with dh's health, I am okay with however it works out. We will find a way to make it work. I am just thankful to have him and thankful that he is back to work and we were able to keep up with the medical costs (thank goodness for the stimulus check).

We haven't had any requests for any additional info - so far so good.

It is great to see that many people have gotten filed, survived their 341s, and gotten their discharges!!

Thanks again to all those who offered their support. Life looks much better today than it did 2 months ago. We are just hoping the 341 goes well.

I am so happy that you have such good news, and that your DH is doing well. Is he going to physical therapy? I'll bet he loves that. I bet you'll both do fine at the 341. Good luck and God Bless~~~~

Thank you AngelinaCat. He did go to PT but it was only for wound care for his leg - not strengthening. In hindsight, it seems like that would have been a good idea.

I had a nasty fall last year wherin I broke my right arm [of course I am right-handed] and left knee. If I had not gone to PT, I would have most likely lost most of the use of my arm because of where the break was. Since he is still seeing the doctor, can he get a script for strength exercises for that leg?

I have a HMO which pays for physical therapy but in reality, hardly pays for anything. Right foot had all the bones fractured at the arch and dislocated 60 degrees to the right - no therapy. Left foot had the 2nd, third and forth metatorsial fractured - no therapy. 2 fractures in lower back - no therapy. Seperated right shoulder - no therapy.
So what I am doing is doing my own therapy. At least I don't have to be there at a certain time nor do I have to make the co-payments.

I have heard many PT horror stories. I guess I was really fortunate to find good care to start with who reffered me to a great PT facility.
