Thanks so much everyone. It really helps a lot to hear all the different situations.

I shot him a quick e-mail and he confirmed that it would be around 10 business days. I know I'm supposed to feel a bit of relief now, but after running the numbers I have this angst that I'm looking at chapter 13. His initial thoughts from the original numbers I gave him are that I'm a chapter 7. Then again, he's the pro, has a really high rating from his peers and 30 years experience in bankruptcy.

I guess I'll find out in two weeks...

We started with ours on August 2006. We did not get filed until December 28, 2007, and only then because we went in and demanded that she get off her duff and DO SOMETHING. This was after calling and asking what's going on? Emailing, etc., and very little communication. Then her paralegal left and someone else had to come in and we kept having to submit the same information over and over. This is one of many reasons we are discharging ours on August 6.

If we had not gone in when we did, we would have had to wait until August 2008 to file, because we get a stipend from a trust in January of each year. By then we would have had at least two if not three judgements against us and our wages as miniscule as they are possibly garnished. So our filing was an emergency filing.
