    Regarding 1st mortgage, Cars, Visa's

Reaffirmation? Repos? Ride-through possibility? Negotiability? Loan Modification? Cross-Collateralization?

We live in Florida but do not use those credit unions. However, the credit union that we used for over 20 years has been the worst to deal with during the bk 13 process. If you have any loans through the credit union that you are choosing to include but others through the same credit union that you are a not (such as a car loan) most will use cross-collateralization to recover any loss. We are filing a chapter 13 and had planned to pay our car loan outside of the plan. Now, because we have had so many problems with them threatening to take our vehicle (whose payments were all up to date) we decided on the advise of our attorney to include it. Also, everytime we had any $$$ in the account at that credit union they would come in and clean us out. We switched our direct deposit to another bank which has been a relief. This is not to say your credit union will do the same thing but that was my experience with a credit union in Florida.

Wow - that sure does not sound good. We do have cars and a 1st mortgage with one of these and a VISA (but it had a zero balance-unless the trustee goes after a payment we made within 90 days). We are probably just gonna lose it all if they play these games. But whatever - its just "stuff".
