Can you reaffirm a credit card to protect cosigner?

My husband and I both are ready to file chapter 7, the only thing holding him back is that his mother co-signed for one of his cc's. We know we have to list it, but if we reaffirm it, is it possible that her credit will not be affected?
Is it allowed to reaffirm certain credit cards if we are current on them?
I have searched this forum for cosigner, but hadn't had luck with anything similiar to this..thanks in advance!!

You can try too. It's ultimately up to the court, but if you approach the credit card company and request a reaffirmation agreement, I don't think they would say no.

If he's adament about not ruining his mothers credit.............he'd be better off forgeting to list this particular credit card account on his petition.
