    Discharge and Closing are two different things.

    Discharge absolves you of the responsibility of any dischargeable debts.

    Closing is generally an administration function that in no asset cases often happens in conjunction with Discharge. However in asset cases they cannot close until they finish distributing all funds to creditors.

      Yes, finally being closed is a great feeling, but getting the discharge letter is the big one!
