Whats your story? ( inspiration needed)

    Hi Folks,

Its been a while since i last posted on here and I was just wondering how everyone is coping with the present days economy. I filed BK about 2 yrs ago and was getting back on track and then, BAM, got severly sick for six months in the hospital and then, got downsized....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Now I am again 15K in debt and as everyday passes my score goes in the toliet. So I guess i need a little inspiration and listen to some cases that were worse than mine.

If you dont mind sharing, can you tell me your worse case scenario recently and what did you do to recover and increase your score back to a respectable standing. Hope everyone is ok out there.

I had over $250,000 in debt.

I am continuing to climb upwards. My BK is not that old, in fact, I am expecting my discharge the end of this week. I have made a solid budget, and am practicing intense discipline to stay with it.

By this time next year, I expect an emergency fund to be finalized. If all goes well next year. This is what I am hoping will help stave off problems in the future.

I have to be completely honest with you... I do not know, nor do I care, what my credit score is. I am measuring my improvement by the budget plan that I follow, and the improvement to my bottom line.

So, I don't know if I will ever "recover my score to a respectable level," but I will recover my net worth to a more than respectable level. Try to keep your priorities right. Make good financial decisions, and do not be so worried about the credit score, and you will be fine, and get back to where you need to be. I know that you can do it!
Filed 8/08 - Discharged 11/08! Not tracking FICO.
    Pre-Bankruptcy Net Worth: -$72,000... Today's net worth: $142,000.
If your FICO score just went higher than your net worth, and you are happy about this, you might have a financial problem!

Poor spending practices and ultimately divorce landed me here. I kept spending thinking "I'll pay this off next month or next pay" and it piled up over a period of time. Around '05 I took out a consolidation loan and started paying things down. Then, the divorce came in '07 and I was left with 70% of the bills but 50% of the income. That didn't work so well and wanting to keep my house, bankruptcy was the only choice.

        Report of no distribution 10/23/08
