Since you plan on filing in the next month or two I would let them go..although I am not sure how long it would be before they repo it. And if they do repo it, not sure if that is worse on your credit than just a bk. You may voluntarily turn it over to them. They will still pick it up as they insist on this. However, they will mark your record as a voluntary repossession. It still goes on the record but it is better than a find it and tow it case. 'HubIf I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
