Finally. We are filed. We got a reasonable payment. Our lawyer gave us some wiggle room and now we are waiting for our 341 date with our trustee. Lawyer said he does not see any problems with the trustee approving our plan. But I am still keeping my fingers crossed until then. We were so close to a 7, we ended up with a low paying 13.

Its been a long year, with our bankruptcy, loss of relatives, friends, cancer, and the loss of our dog. I am relieved to be filed. I never thought when I found this board back in May that I would be here filed and all (if that makes sense)?

We found a puppy and will be getting her the day after Thanksgiving. My Nana is still doing chemo, we should know soon if it is doing anything. This whole experience with bankruptcy has opened my eyes, that we lived way beyond our means for way too long. I am not defined by what I have, but by who I am. Sorry if that sounds silly.

We will have Christmas but not on the scale that we used to. I amthankful for all that I do have, I never seemed to be before. I am now looking forward.

Thank You to everyone who helped me with my never ending questions. I appreciate it more than you know. This is a scary ride. And without you all I would never have gotten this far.

Sounds like a tough year...I wish you and your family all the best. Congrats on finally getting the ball rolling with the BK. I feel like this BK is going on FOREVER too, I can't wait to file hopefully in Jan (trying to pay attorney fees). May I ask how much your ch 13 monthly payment will be? Although we are above the median income, with our expenses deducted, it puts us in the negative (some of the expense numbers are padded), but I'm very concerned about what our payment will be. My hubby doesn't really care and he would prefer to drag this bk out while we save for emergencies, but I just want to file and get started on the next 5 years! It's very frustrating!

Hi Liz,

Our proposed payment is under $100. But we were very close to a 7 and were only about 2K over the median. Plus our attorney is known for his low paying 13s. I am just thankful we are filed, I never thought we would be here!!!

That's great news, sounds like you have a great attorney!!! We'll (us on this forum) keep our fingers crossed until you're 341 meeting and/or until your confirmed!!!
