    Can my lawyer drop me?

I just recently paid $250 to a law firm like a month or so ago to retain the attorney but I haven't made a monthly payment. Can my lawyer drop me?

Yes. Your lawyer can 'fire' you for any reason, just as you can 'fire' him for any reason--as long as it is before you file.

Yeah, your lawyer can drop you but it is unlikely unless you go a really long time without paying or do something he explicitly told you not to do in regards to your case.

Don't be scared to call him and tell him what's up. Keep in communication. You aren't the first person filing BK who hasn't paid him in a timely manner and you certainly won't be the last. He's used to it.

Make good faith effort (and payments) and you should be fine.

If you mean "drop" you as in refunding your money - definitely not. If you mean "drop" you as in just forgetting about you - definitely.
