    Tax Returns

I know that there are some threads about this but I didn't find a def. answer so here goes...
I am married filing 7 by myself (house, car ect. all in husbands name and he is not filing)
so will they take my tax return?
I babysit and will owe taxes at the end of the year, we file jointly and get a nice amount back since we have kids. We use that money to buy needed heating oil so I am really hoping that it won't get taken.
    Any ideas?
I know I can ask my att. and I will tomorrow but in the mean time I am stressing over all these questions. I don't need another sleepless night of tossing and turning worrying about all this.
    Thank you all!

In this situation, the trustees in our district look at the portion of the tax return which would be yours if you were to file your taxes individually. If you would have to pay in, then the tax refund would be your husbands portion.
I think you will be fine. If they question it, you could use it as an argument.

Thanks for responding. I spoke with the lawyer today and he said it won't effect our return
      Finally some good news!
