    Chex Systems..huh?? LOL!

So, checking my bank accounts (WAMU and US Bank) OK, deposits are in, amount right and solid...

Hmmm...Have a savings account with US Bank, but hey, might not be a bad thing to have another savings linked to a checking account...OK WAMU sign me up...

Thank you for choosing Washington Mutual for your banking needs. We regret that we cannot process your request. Our decision was based, in whole or in part, on information obtained in a report from the consumer reporting agency listed below . The consumer reporting agency did not make the decision to decline your account request and is unable to provide you with the specific reasons why the decision was made. you may contact the agency in writing at the address indicated below, or you may call the toll free number.

    HUH?WTF?IS this a JOKE?

Well, I hit their website, ordered my free report (I'm wondering if this will truly show what's what and what to look for..Anyone know?) and so it'll come to my sisters mailing address and so I wait...

Hrumph! Like I wanted another savings account anyway!!

I just gotta laugh frankly...I mean I have opened 3 accounts (One at WAMU) and I guess this is something new as I didn't have a problem with WAMU (Hey I even repaid overdrawn balances totalling $28 bucks from 2 previous accounts I left in 2006 ) or US Bank when I opened the accounts.

Scared? Frightened? Fearful? Nahhhhh..Fun and games, fun and games

chances are, it's from the NSF on your old accounts. even if you repay them, if they've already reported to chexsystems, it'll stay there for five years unless you get proof of payment and send it to chexsystems and ask them to remove the mark on your report.

glad you've got a good attitude about it, though. it nearly knocked me on my butt when i found out a $5 overdraft on an account three years old meant i couldn't open a checking account at a different institution. i couldn't believe such a reporting system existed, LOL.
filed ch7 pro-se on 12/22/08, 341 meeting on 1/29/09, changed from no-asset to asset case on 2/18/09, DISCHARGED on 4/3/09.

I'm just a quiver in seeing what did occur. From one persons post, it could be that a check from 2 years ago (Make that 2.9 years) might have been it, or four overdrafts on one account just 3 months ago might have been it.

Guess banks are getting nasty not only to their CC holders, but their checking/savings account holders. No probs, I've got 3 now, might check a couple I had out in MO (One bank I REALLY loved) but two I have now (chk/sav) are with a nationwide bank and that's good enough.

Funny (And good thing) that unlike a BK, they don't shut off your accounts for new information...Or do they??

Sometimes Chexsystems will decline you if you have too many recent inquiries at banks.

They truly suck! You can dispute with them like a CB, and a lot of times they will fold if you are persistant and the issue with them isn't that big.

Dispute with them, they deserve the trouble!
