Dump current car now for a new one?

I'm $10K upside down on it. Do I let them repo it or wait until my BK? How do I get a car w/a BK and HORRIBLE credit?

Apparently it can be done but your interest will be higher. That is what we are doing right now. I called lawyer since we aren't filing until next week to see if we can try to get a car now before we file. Of course she hasn't called back. We are giving both of our cars back way upside down. She also said we can try to get one after we file... So I hope something works.

we haven't filed yet, but are upside down on both cars by 10-12k each. So we decided to go and get a good used car before filing and reaffirm it. We went to a local Honda dealer and got 3.9% interest for 60 months on a 2006 certified model. Our credit scores were 660 and 680. There's a lot of great deals right now- dealerships are certainly hurting for shoppers!
