Find a rent to own house? We decided to let our house go in bk7. It is worth 1/2 of what we still owe (crazy). Anyways, we have dogs and are afraid when the time comes we won't find anywhere to rent with dogs. We are hoping to try to stay in this house for 2 years, but know on our luck it won't happen. Our lawyer told us not to worry about moving as her other clients have been in their house for 3 years not paying anything. So anyways, if we can stick it out for 2 years we were told if we get our credit up we could get a mortgage. But if we do get "kicked out" sooner we didn't know about finding rent to own homes. I am so nervous!

Every area is different, but rent to own or contract for deed or land contract (all about the same thing) are easy to find in most areas now.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

You can go thru a regular realtor (I am one) ...but make sure they know what you are talking about. Contrary to popular belief - we are not all the same!
