New Lawyer and wow what a difference!!

    Hi all,

Yep, went and called one last week and met him today. But before I did they said "You MUST bring in the following (Bills, W-2 forms) and man oh man does that take me back to my first lawyer..Plus, he said (I love this part) "I'm not asking you to tell the truth, I demand it as my butt is also on the line"

So, I wrote him a check $809 (Same amount as that last LOSER lawyer) and I told him "This is a promissory note" He said "We won't deposit it till YOU say its' good"

So I come home, feeling good..Then check my bank account..$75.00 negative..HUH??? IT WAS $240.00 NEGATIVE EARLIER!!!!

I'm debating to say "Hey, what happened?" Or "Did you make a mistake?"

I think I'll just keep my mouth closed and smile alot.

God this was one GOOD Monday!!!

(NOTE: If this works right, I'll have Lawyer paid by the 7th of Oct and filed the following week!)

Glad things went well with this attorney-looks like you found a keeper!
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Thanks I will...The great thing about the bank incident (If it holds and BTW my last email to them suggested they check with their legal dept about their methods might have been the kicker to drop the charges) is that it frees up enough to pay 50% of the fees and then the next check (On the 7th) pays for everything and so, about the 10th it should be filed...

Have to remember tonight, make the call, make the call to the collections to stop the direct debiting...
