    Paperwork junkie or junkie?

Ok, during meeting with lawyer, he asked for my W-2 forms..Didn't have them, said I would find them (I have them now, he gets them Friday with 50% of fees) and I said "I'm not good at keeping papers..."

He replied nicely enough "I see that with many who file"

Hmmmm....Makes me wonder. Not that I don't keep records (Somewhat) but how good do we keep ours?

I now have a file cabinet and am tagging the file folders (Gas, food, rent, vet and such) but was wondering about this.

Are we paperwork junkies, or just junkies?

A lot of people never keep receipts of their bills, nor do they really realize what their expenses are..
A good filing system, and an idea of where your money goes - doesn't hurt anyone.......even may be helpful.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I have good intentions-but bad results. Things tend to pile up on the desk. We have a stack of paid bills (good that they're paid-right?) but it is disorganized so if I need something, I have to go thru the entire pile.

I've started using online billpay thru my bank-that is helping as it stores my history. I've gone to online billing w/ my power & gas bills also.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
