I live in NYC. I have a debt consolidation loan from BOA. That is my most major expense. It is over 30K plus credit cards. I may file Chap 7. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

to answer your title... no..... bk is not just for cc,s....just about all loans may be discharged....except for student loans, child support, and recent irs....Comment

A debt consolidation loan could be discharged in a bk, keep in mind though that you might have to surrend the collateral if you can't exempt it.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
