me and my supervisor at work are pretty much best friends, but still i didnt want him to know i was filing for BK. well i been extremly depressed so i told him i would talk to him on break, and i told him ive been really depressed and stressed and that there was something going on in my life i need to take care of but will be wrapped up soon....then i was joking with him...no im not a criminal, no im not going to drug rehab...all this silly stuff, then finally i gave him a real good hint i was like look- i had a really high paying job, came here, took a huge paycut..and well i had to do something.....

and he then said, if it makes u feel any better ive been there done that! i was so relieved and i asked him how scarey it was and he said id be fine and would support me all the way, he even offered to go to my 341 meeting with me, what a wonderful friend

Well you see, so many people take this action in shame. We don’t plan to be here. We have to sell ourselves on the idea of bk and always equate it with failure. It is not failure, it is many things. No one wishes this but when it comes, we make a decision and that is the biggest step we must take.

You have found through your friend, that even he had to make that decision. Your story should become a “sticky” so that folks can see, this is not something so shameful. It certainly is not easy to endure so it sure isn’t and “easy out”. I liked your storey. ‘Hub

AA has their support group and those of us in BK have ours. Glad to hear you have somebody you can confide in.
