I was paying $400.00 a month to the Trustee (what an unpleasant S.O.B. ), with a desent gross income ( almost 3 times above the median income level for Texas).I needed that extra $400 to make it through the month, that's why I got out of 13 and started looking for another option. They have to sue you first and win, which is extremely difficult for them to do when you have a good CPA to represent you. Hope that helps.

wow, you are atleast 3 times over the median and no one has successfully sued you. That's amazing. You must have a large family. I thought anything over the basics of your living allowances you can be sued for. I am talking about the IRS or your state standards for your household size. I guess I am saying that after you subtract your exemptions from your salary the amount left is extra monies. So, in Texas you can't be sued for the monies left over after your basic living expenses? Is that correct? How did you become exempt from being sued. again, thanks for the info.

Remember the median income for Texas is only about $50K. There are 3 in my family. The IRS has not sued me and no I have not been suied for monies after expenses. Collectors can try and sue you, but they won't be successful.

i was told that since im not over the median income, but too much disposable income, that my payment would be about 300 mo for 3 years..

i know that sounds trivial to some, but that 300 a month means that i can put gas in my truck....

today was a typical day in my life...its beautiful weather outside and i rode my motorcycle 100 miles to a state park which is the worlds largest spring, which cost 3 bucks to enter....
i usually have lunch at the restaurant, but since its getting to the end of the month, i made 2 peanut butter sandwiches and fed part to the squirrels...
then on the way back, i stopped off at moms and she fixed me a bite to eat....thats pretty extravagant living, wouldnt you say.. no fancy cars, no vacation home...all i ask is just to be able to look at nature and a sandwich..

if i had to pay 300 per month, i would have sat at the house today...if taking my lifestyle from me is necessary in the big scheme of things, then ill just be damned....im going to hold out as long as i can.. time is treasure, spend it wisely..
