    safety of bank account

    Hello everyone,
I just thought of another issue.Assuming my social security & military retirement is safe from CC company garnishment, how do I protect these two checks that are placed in my checking account electronically? Would you mind giving me your thoughts when you get a chance?I still don't understand why the banks/credit card companies won't make a deal.

Exemptions are not just for bankruptcy, the also apply to executions of judgments. First off, do any of these credit cards have judgments against you, if no, you don't have anything to worry about right now, if yes....

Generally, social security benefits maintain their exempt status when they are deposited into a bank account. However, if you comingle your SSI with other, non-exempt funds, they may lose their exempt status.
As I said in the other post, I don't know the status of military retirement.

      Thanks again HHM,
No,I have no judgements or anything negative on my credit.I am stressed because I know that I'm in big trouble if the jump from 2% to 4% is activated.I'll try to learn something about exemptions.Thank you for helping me.
