How long do you have............

I saw my lawer the first week in May, took the first course on June 1st and got my certificate to proceed. Is there any set time that filing needs to be done in? Can I wait a month, year, etc.....
I am reading so many stories here that I am not sure.

You have no specific time to file. The pre bk certificate is good for a while. I'm not sure it expires at all. 'Hub

If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

The CCCS course must be taken within 180 days of filing. You wait longer than that and, you have to redo the course.
