How to file taxes after filing bk?

Does anyone know if there are any special rules for filing taxes in the year that I file a Chapter 7 BK?

Does the discharged creditors become income?

Filing Bankruptcy will not affect how you file your taxes. Just do them as usual. The Trustee also files a tax sheet on you when you file bankruptcy, but it has nothing to do with you filing yours.

I think I'm correct in this, filing didn't affect my taxes.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

You file your taxes as usual, you don't need to file a special form because you filed bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy trustee files a tax return for the bankruptcy estate that gets created when you file bankruptcy, but that does not effect your filing.
