How long you have to stay in a house you included in the bk. Our sheriff sale is July 10th. We were only 2 months behind when we filed on Jan 13th so it didn't take them long at all. Good thing we didn't listen to lawyer telling us we would have at least a year and could go up to 3. We found a brand new house and moved in April.

It's not over til... Our foreclosure sales were set for mid-March (house #1) and mid-April (house #2) of 2009. Neither sale occurred! They are both still in our name, and the lender on the 1st for house #1 is trying to get us to talk to them about modifying the note. We have 4 lienholders between the two houses - no one wants to pull the trigger. Oh, we stopped paying all the mortgages last Summer, not sure exactly what months. May-June I think.
