DH and I have an appointment for next week with our attorney for our "signing appointment" on our bankruptcy. What exactly is this? I have read over all the literature from our attorney and my mind is drawing a blank on all of this stuff...any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm on pins and needles!

Liz is correct.
You should be given an opportunity to go over your paperwork with your attorney and make corrections to any errors before the paperwork is signed and filed. 90 percent of the cases are filed electronically these days, so it is VERY important that you review each sheet carefully and make any corrections needed.
Our attorney had us both initial each sheet that we had seen and approved. We made many corrections, which were then printed up and brought to us for review and initialization again.
Make sure that all of that happens BEFORE you sign the final copies. Otherwise, any amendments that need to be made will be a one time fee to the court of around $26.00.
Good luck to you~~"To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

$26 bucks is what the courts charge, this doesn't include what your attorney may charge...mine charges $175 PLUS the $26 which equals $201 for any changes...Originally posted by AngelinaCat View PostLiz is correct.
